Winter Shelter Intake Specialist

Purpose: The purpose of this position is to support the operation of the winter shelter site by completing daily client intake processes and related data entry requirements.

Responsibilities:

Complete shelter intake interviews with shelter guests
Record and track daily attendance of shelter guests
Enter client level data of shelter guests into Allegheny County’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)

Qualifications:

Proficiency with computers, including data entry and use of Microsoft Office products
Ability to work independently
Strong attention to detail
Previous experience working with vulnerable populations such as those experiencing homelessness or domestic violence is preferred.

Schedule:

6:00PM-10:00PM daily onsite at shelter location
Additional time working offsite/remote completing data entry
